On the occasion of International Dance Day on April 28, actress Karisma Kapoor took a delightful trip down memory lane by sharing a nostalgic throwback of what she fondly called her "official first dance."

In a heartwarming moment, Karisma Kapoor took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a precious throwback picture featuring her younger self dancing with her legendary grandfather, Raj Kapoor.

As the world celebrated international Dance Day today on April 28, actress Karisma Kapoor shared a nostalgic and adorable throwback of her "official first dance".

In a heartwarming moment, Karisma Kapoor took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a precious throwback picture featuring her younger self dancing with her legendary grandfather, Raj Kapoor.

The caption read, "On the occasion of International Dance Day sharing my first official Dance. Couldn’t have asked for a better dance partner."


A sweet moment of the two mid-ball dancers is captured in the black-and-white picture, which exudes happiness and love. While Raj Kapoor sports a classic ensemble of a basic shirt and trousers, young Karisma is spotted sporting a pretty skirt and top.

Raj Kapoor's daughter Ritu Nanda's book, Raj Kapoor: The One and Only Showman, also details their well-known close relationship, emphasising how much Karisma loved her grandfather and how he encouraged her aspirations from a young age.

On the professional front, Karisma is preparing for her part in the forthcoming Brown television series. The actress will make a dramatic comeback to the screen as she plays a detective who is battling personal issues, such as alcoholism, while she looks into the mysterious murder of a young woman from a prominent family.

"Brown," which was directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Rithika Rajachandran and Satrajit Sen, is thought to be based on the 2016 book "City of Death" by Abheek Barua. The cast of the show includes, Surya Sharma, Helen, Soni Razdan, Meghna Malik, Jisshu Sengupta, K.K. Raina, Ajinkya Deo, Aniruddh Roy, Shatrughan Kumar, and Kiara Sadh.
