Kangana Ranaut shares glimpses of her new restaurant's inauguration in Manali on Valentine's Day, see pics

Situated in the scenic village of Prini, just 4 km from Manali on the Manali-Naggar road, Kangana Ranaut’s café, The Mountain Story, invites visitors to indulge in authentic Himachali cuisine.

Kangana Ranaut, last seen in Emergency, has stepped into the world of entrepreneurship by launching a café and restaurant in her hometown, Manali. Marking the romantic occasion of Valentine’s Day on February 14, the Bollywood star hosted a grand inauguration ceremony for The Mountain Story, which is now open to the public.

Sharing her excitement, Kangana took to X and shared picture of herself posing in the cafe and the caption read, "The mountain story cafe in Manali. Opening night. A dream comes alive. Many thanks to all those who helped me achieve this. Do visit."

Situated in the scenic village of Prini, just 4 km from Manali on the Manali-Naggar road, Kangana Ranaut’s café, The Mountain Story, invites visitors to indulge in authentic Himachali cuisine. Designed in the traditional Kath Kuni architectural style, the charming two-storey café has been in the works since 2020. Architect Duni Chand, who oversaw the project, shared these details with PTI.

Built in the traditional Kath Kuni style, The Mountain Story blends layers of wood and stone, creating a cozy, rustic ambiance. But the real highlight is the food! Guests can savor an authentic Himachali experience with a wholesome Pahadi vegetarian thali priced at Rs 680 or a flavorful non-vegetarian version for Rs 850. The menu also features local delicacy Siddu, along with Mumbai-style Poha and Vada Pav, offering a delightful mix of regional flavors.

At the inauguration, Kangana Ranaut expressed that The Mountain Story was a lifelong dream that had finally come to life in the heart of the Himalayas. She described the café as more than just a dining space, calling it a love story—one that pays tribute to the comforting aromas of her mother’s kitchen and the serene beauty of the mountains.

Kangana Ranaut’s most recent film, Emergency, saw her portraying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Set against the backdrop of India’s 21-month-long Emergency from 1975 to 1977, the historical drama was released in theaters on January 17, 2025. She starred in the film as well as directed and co-produced it.
