Bollywood actress and co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Juhi Chawla, recently revealed that she doesn't watch IPL matches with her former co-actor, friend, and KKR partner Shah Rukh Khan.
Juhi Chawla, according to news agency IANS, said that it is not a good thing to watch KKR matches with Shah Rukh because he 'vents out his anger at her' when their team KKR doesn't perform well at all.
Juhi Chawla said at the "Routes 2 Roots" event in Mumbai that IPL is always exciting. "We are all in front of our television sets. When our team plays, it is interesting to watch them, and we are all highly tense."
She further added, "It is not good to watch a match with him (Shah Rukh Khan) because when our team is not performing well, he vents out his anger at me. I tell him to tell that to the team and not me. So we are not the best people to watch the match with."
Juhi Chawla further added: "I think the same goes for a lot of owners. They can all be seen sweating while their teams play.”
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actress Juhi Chawla worked together in many hit films, including Yash Chopra's "Darr" (1993), where he played the role of an obsessive lover, and the movie went on to become a super hit. Later, they were seen in movies like "Yes Boss," "Duplicate," "Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani," and "Raja Hindustani," to name a few, which were all superhits.
Their pairing was loved a lot and earned them a dedicated fan following. The two have been thick friends for a long and Juhi, along with her husband Jay Mehta, later became business partners with SRK and now co-own the IPL team: Kolkata Knight Riders.
