Actor John Abraham has been widely promoting his upcoming film, The Diplomat, creating a buzz all over the internet. However, the audience has to wait a bit longer to watch John in action again in the highly anticipated thriller.
The film was initially set to be released on March 7. However, the makers have recently postponed the film. The Diplomat is now set to hit cinemas on Holi, March 14. The makers have taken to Instagram and shared three posters with the new release date. The Instagram post was accompanied by the caption that reads, “The wait gets longer, but his impact only grows stronger.”
The latest film is directed by Shivam Nair and is inspired by true events. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar (T-Series), Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl (Wakaoo Films), Sameer Dixit, Jatish Varma, and Rakesh Dang (Fortune Pictures/Seeta Films). In addition to starring, John has also produced the film.
The upcoming features a powerful cast including Sadia Khateeb, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra. John Abraham essayed the role of the real-life Indian diplomat JP Singh, who embarks on a high-stakes mission to rescue the Daughter of India from captivity. The film pays a notable tribute to the late Sushma Swaraj and her efforts in 2017 and to mark the occasion, the makers released the trailer on her birth anniversary. The political action thriller promises a gripping tale of diplomacy, courage, and intelligence.
On the work front, John was last seen in Vedaa. Besides The Diplomat, he is also reported to star in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan, N.T. Rama Rao Jr and Kiara Advani.
