During a recent visit to Jaaved Jaaferi’s Mumbai residence for an episode of her YouTube series, filmmaker Farah Khan found herself surprised not just by the actor's elegantly designed interiors and expansive balcony, but by the unexpected identity of his next-door neighbour.
During his informal tour of his opulent residence, Jaaved casually disclosed that the actress Kriti Sanon lives right next door.
While showing Farah around, he gestured towards a wall and quipped, “Deewar ke uss paar is Kriti Sanon (Kriti Sanon’s apartment is on the other side of this wall)."
This unanticipated name-drop immediately amused Farah. Without missing a beat, she retorted with characteristic wit, “To tu deewar phaand ke jaata hai Kriti Sanon ke ghar?" a cheeky remark that drew a smile from Jaaved.
The light-hearted banter continued as Farah explored the home's open layout and admired the stunning city vistas. Overwhelmed, she gasped, “Jaaved, what is this house?" Then, displaying her signature comedic timing, she playfully added, “Jaaved, tere se hi shaadi kar leni thi yaar," a comment that was met with laughter and a warm embrace from Jaaved.
For the episode, Jaaved was joined by his brother Naved Jafri and their long-time partner Ravil Behl. Reminiscent of their renowned dance reality show Boogie Woogie, which enthralled audiences from 1996 to 2014 and is still cherished by fans, the trio took a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The episode featured a delightful blend of nostalgic stories, comical banter, and even some culinary exploration, as Jaaved's personal chef shared recipes for chicken biscuits and mutton chaap.
Since her final directing project, Happy New Year (2014), which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Farah Khan has broadened her area of expertise.
Her work as a choreographer and her hosting duties, such as her most recent appearance on Celebrity MasterChef, have been her main priorities. She also choreographed the dance sequence for the movie Loveyaapa.
Jaaved Jaaferi, meanwhile, keeps a full schedule with numerous OTT and movie projects. His most recent appearances were in the JioHotstar web series Taaza Khabar and Inn Galiyon Mein. Additionally, he is scheduled to return to the big screen with Dhamaal 4.
