The action-packed movie Jaat, starring Sunny Deol, opened in theatres on April 10 and will soon be available on streaming services. During its theatrical run, the film received widespread praise from critics and viewers alike, which resulted in strong box office receipts.

Strong audience interest and commercial success are evident in Jaat's ₹88.65 crore domestic earnings, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. With a global total of ₹118.78 crore, the movie easily earned a spot in the ₹100 crore club.

Reports indicate that Jaat is expected to start streaming on Netflix from 5th June, although the streaming service has yet to officially confirm the release date. Fans of the film will be eager to catch up on the high-octane thriller from the comfort of their homes once the digital premiere goes live.

Set against the backdrop of the turbulent aftermath of the 2009 Tamil civilian war, Jaat weaves a gripping tale of resistance and justice. The plot centres around Ranatunga, a ruthless war criminal who escapes to India with stolen treasure. Alongside his gang, he imposes a reign of terror over thirty villages, plunging the local population into fear and despair.

The story takes a turn years later when a mysterious figure known only as Jaat appears. Driven by an unwavering sense of justice, Jaat embarks on a relentless crusade to expose Ranatunga’s atrocities and dismantle his tyrannical empire. The film explores themes of courage, resistance, and hope amidst adversity.

Alongside Sunny Deol, Jaat boasts a talented cast including Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Siingh, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles, contributing to the film’s dynamic storytelling.

In exciting news for fans, Sunny Deol has confirmed that a sequel, Jaat 2, is in the works. The actor, known for his action-hero persona, announced his return as Baldev Pratap Singh and promised an even more thrilling follow-up. Director Gopichand Malineni is reportedly set to helm the sequel.
