Ishaan Khatter recently opened up about filming intimate scenes with legendary actress Tabu, sharing candid insights about his experience on set. This came after his film Homebound received a standing ovation at the Cannes International Film Festival, where it premiered to great acclaim.

In an interview with Times Now, Ishaan discussed his experiences working with both Bhumi Pednekar on Royals and Tabu in the acclaimed series A Suitable Boy. Speaking about the intimate scenes with Tabu, Ishaan emphasized the importance of the script in handling the significant age gap between their characters. “I think a lot of it is in the writing,” he said. “I don't think, for example, if you were to put Tabu and I in another story, in another piece of writing, where, for example, we overlooked the age gap or that we didn't address it, it might have looked out of place.”

The actor praised Tabu’s professionalism and her natural ease on set, making the intimate scenes feel comfortable rather than awkward. “And with an actress like Tabu, honestly, it's like, you don't have to talk about it,” Ishaan revealed. “I have to say, and this sounds, I don't know, this might sound off or something, but I was not freaked out, absolutely not.”

He also shared some lighter moments from working with Tabu, highlighting her playful nature during shoots. “She would be talking about random things, like, what do you want for lunch or something, or like, usko dekha kaise aankhe banara tha... She is very naughty, she's like a child on set.”
This openness and professionalism helped Ishaan feel “very safe” performing intimate scenes, a sentiment he extended to his work with Bhumi Pednekar as well. Their bonding on the sets of Royals made the experience even more seamless for him.

The film Homebound, starring Ishaan Khatter alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa, is already generating buzz and anticipation, further marking Ishaan’s promising trajectory in cinema.
