Is Sidharth Malhotra joining Race 4 with Saif Ali Khan? Deets inside

Actor Sidharth Malhotra is reportedly set to join the cast of Race 4, with discussions ongoing between him and producer Ramesh Taurani. According to Pinkvilla, Sidharth has expressed a strong interest in the fourth installment of the popular action franchise and is currently negotiating his role with Taurani. Saif Ali Khan is also expected to return for this new chapter.

Pinkvilla's source revealed, "Ramesh Taurani has enlisted a team of in-house writers to develop the basic plot for Race 4. This initial concept is being refined by seasoned writers and directors to craft a full screenplay. As the writing progresses, Taurani has initiated talks with Sidharth Malhotra to be the leading man alongside Saif Ali Khan. Sidharth, a big fan of the Race franchise, is keen on joining the film."

The source further added, "True to the franchise's style, Race 4 will feature a high-stakes face-off between Saif and Sidharth. It promises to be a classic two-hero film with both characters exhibiting shades of grey."

Ramesh Taurani recently confirmed that the script for Race 4 is complete and that the film is set to go into production by the end of the year. While Taurani has not yet decided on a director or confirmed Salman Khan’s involvement, he assured that the cast will be new and exciting.

The Race franchise began with the 2008 film directed by Abbas-Mustan, featuring Saif Ali Khan in the lead, with Akshaye Khanna and John Abraham as the antagonists in the first and second films, respectively. The 2018 installment, directed by Remo D’Souza and starring Salman Khan and Bobby Deol, continued the franchise's success despite mixed reviews.

Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in Yodha, which released in March 2024. The film, co-starring Disha Patani and Rashii Khanna, received a positive reception at the box office and praised Sidharth for his performance.
