The excitement is at its peak as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) lock horns in the IPL 2025 final — with both teams aiming for their first-ever title. But the fever isn’t limited to the stadium. Bollywood and the television industry are fully immersed in the action, with celebrities passionately rooting for their favorites.

In a surprising twist, Punjabi actor and host Maniesh Paul is cheering not for Punjab Kings, but for RCB. Speaking to Hindustan Times, he revealed, "As a Punjabi, I know everybody expects me to support PBKS. But my son, Yuvan, and I are ardent followers of Virat Kohli. I think RCB has been playing exceptionally well. It’s the 18th year of IPL for Virat, and I hope he wins the cup for the team."

Joining him in RCB fandom is singer Rahul Vaidya. Known for his earlier tiff with Kohli’s fanbase — where he controversially called them “clowns” and revealed that the RCB star had blocked him on Instagram — Vaidya has now made peace. “There is an emotional reason also. It’s because RCB has never won any IPL title till now. So, I really want them to win and main dil se unki taraf hoon because they are a great team, but they have never been able to win so far,” he said.

Kubbra Sait, who shares a family connection with the team (her brother Danish Sait plays RCB's iconic Mr. Nags), is cheering passionately: "RCB! RCB! RCB! They will fight for the cup. The whole country wants the team to win. Even they want to win!"
