Ravi Ahuja takes to the helm as the CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) on January 2, 2025, succeeding Tony Vinciquerra, who will transition to the role of non-executive chairman until December 2025.
Currently, Ravi serves as the Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Sony, where he has been integral in overseeing the daily operations of the company alongside Vinciquerra.
Since joining Sony Pictures in March 2021, Ravi has played a crucial role in driving the company's growth. He manages all production activities for Sony Pictures Television, encompassing both U.S. and international productions.
His responsibilities also include overseeing divisions focused on nonfiction, children's programming, and game shows. Under Ravi's leadership, Sony Pictures has successfully produced an impressive lineup of acclaimed series, including The Crown, The Boys, Gen V, Cobra Kai, Better Call Saul, The Last of Us, Outlander, and The Night Agent.
In addition to production management, Ravi has been instrumental in spearheading key mergers and acquisitions for Sony, notably the acquisition of Industrial Media, a prominent nonfiction entertainment firm, the UK production company Bad Wolf, and the visual effects studio Pixomondo.
His strategic vision has also led to the sale of GSN Mobile Games to Scopely, demonstrating his adeptness in navigating the competitive landscape of the entertainment industry.

Before his tenure at Sony, Ravi held significant positions at Walt Disney Television. As President of Business Operations and CFO, he played a vital role in merging Disney/ABC Television with Fox Networks following Disney's acquisition of Fox in 2019.
His leadership extended to overseeing finance, strategy, and business development for the Fox Networks Group, where he was instrumental in driving initiatives in streaming and new technologies, including guiding Hulu’s joint venture for over a decade.
Ravi's extensive career also includes serving as CFO for Virgin Entertainment Group and holding roles at McKinsey & Company and in investment banking. He is a graduate of The Wharton School, where he earned both undergraduate and MBA degrees, and he recently joined the Wharton Undergraduate Executive Board.
As he steps into his new role as CEO, Ravi’s strategic acumen and industry experience position him to lead Sony Pictures into its next chapter of growth and innovation.
