Imtiaz Ali teams up with Mahaveer Jain, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba to produce a 'friendship-based film': Here is what we know

Jain has now teamed up with renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali for an exciting new project with Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, his partner at Mahaveer Jain Films (MJF).

Another milestone has been added to the journey of producer Mahaveer Jain, who recently created a stir with the announcement of Naagzilla, which stars Kartik Aaryan in a light-hearted and eccentric role.

Jain has now teamed up with renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali for an exciting new project with Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, his partner at Mahaveer Jain Films (MJF). “The film with Imtiaz Ali is set in the heartland of India. It’s a story of the reunion of friends and is all about friendship, fun and nostalgia. Imtiaz Ali’s Window Seat Films will also be producing it.”

As per reports, sources stated, “The concept is exciting and Imtiaz Ali was more than happy to collaborate with Mahaveer Jain and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Mahaveer and Mrighdeep are also very excited to have Imtiaz on board as they are huge admirers of his films and contribution to cinema.”

“The casting is happening. Just like all other Imtiaz Ali films, music will be a strong point in this movie and the team is equally working on that aspect. A formal announcement is expected soon.”

Currently, Mahaveer Jain Films is supporting a number of well-known projects. Among them is Naagzilla, a peculiar snake-themed entertainer that was co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Mahaveer Jain.

The movie, which is slated for release on August 14, 2026, will take advantage of the Independence Day weekend and coincide with Nag Panchami.

Sidharth Malhotra is also starring in a full-fledged entertainer that Mahaveer Jain is producing. According to reports, Sreeleela or Ananya Panday will play the lead role in the Dream Girl movie, which is directed by Dream Girl star Raaj Shaandilyaa..
