Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's son who debuted recently in Bollywood with Netflix film Nadaniyaan, recently spoke in length and recountered details about his father Saif's attack and how the incident made him cry.
When asked about Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident and how he felt hearing the shocking news during an interview with GQ, Ibrahim said that he got to know about the incident three hours later as he was filming when the attack happened at 2:30am.
Soon after, he rushed to the hospital to meet his father in the ICU. “He opened his eyes, spoke to Sara for a bit, and asked for me. I was so happy; I said, ‘I’m right here, dad’," he said.
Ibrahim Ali Khan revealed that Saif Ali Khan told him he would have confronted the person responsible if he had been present during the incident. "That made me emotional. I wish I had been there," Ibrahim confessed.
He talked about how hearing about his father's stabbing made him feel extremely afraid and described the experience as "bad and scary." He also denied rumours that he took Saif to the hospital with his younger brother, Taimur Ali Khan, stating that Saif had visited the hospital alone.
After the incident, Ibrahim Ali Khan also considered how his relationship with his father had changed, acknowledging that he now feels a closer connection with him. He said that going through a near-death experience with a loved one helps you appreciate the relationship and encourages you to be more grateful and present.
Saif Ali Khan was stabbed several times by an intruder at his residence in Mumbai during wee hours of January 16, 2025. He underwent multiple surgeries after he was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital. He returned home in stable condition few days later and has been recovering since then.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan was recently seen Netflix's Jewel thief. Meanwhile, Ibrahim was seen in Naadaniyan alongside Khushi Kapoor.
