Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan recently made his Bollywood debut with the Netflix film Nadaaniyan, co-starring Khushi Kapoor. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the romantic drama, however, failed to impress both critics and audiences, receiving lukewarm reviews and a poor IMDb rating. Despite this, Ibrahim's latest social media activity has left fans both amused and confused.

Ibrahim recently re-shared a fan’s Instagram story featuring the IMDb rating for Nadaaniyan. The screenshot displayed a rating of 4.5/10, accompanied by a breakdown of votes showing that almost 75% of users rated the film between 6-10 stars. Notably, the post conveniently omitted the ratings given by users who scored the film lower than 6.

The Instagram story, originally posted by a fan page @ibrahimsishq, read: "Almost 75% gave it 10 stars on IMDb." Ibrahim reshared this on his own Instagram, but the post has since disappeared.

Ibrahim’s decision to highlight his film’s poor rating sparked widespread reactions, particularly on Reddit. Many users found it baffling, questioning the logic behind the statistics presented in the post.

One user sarcastically remarked, "It's honestly funny now. Itna denial mein jee rahe hain ye log (They are living in such denial)." Another humorously pointed out the inconsistency in the numbers, writing, "Mera math weak hai, par agar 75% ne 10/10 diya, toh total 4.5 kaise rahi? (My math is weak, but if 75% gave it a 10/10, how did the overall rating remain 4.5?)."

A third user took a broader dig at Bollywood, stating, "At this point, Bollywood has started believing the bubble they have created to be some gospel truth. Bored of this!"

Nadaaniyan marks the directorial debut of Shauna Gautam, but critics have been largely unimpressed. Apart from Ibrahim and Khushi Kapoor, the film also features Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, Mahima Chaudhry, Jugal Hansraj, and Apoorva Mukhija in pivotal roles.

Nadaaniyan is currently streaming on Netflix.
