The latest season of Shark Tank India is in full swing, bringing in fresh business ideas and intense negotiations. Entrepreneurs from all over India are presenting their innovative products in hopes of securing investments from the panel of experienced investors, known as the “sharks.” The show has been packed with excitement, featuring new businesses, inspiring stories, and high-stakes investment deals.

In a recent episode, entrepreneurs Sreeram Reddy Vanga, Dr. Lalitha Palle, and Kartikeya Kabra introduced their health brand, Moderate, to the sharks. Their brand, based in Hyderabad and backed by Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, offers a unique product called Calorie Crusher Tablets. These tablets claim to reduce calorie and carbohydrate absorption from meals, making them ideal for food lovers who still want to maintain their fitness goals. The founders pitched for an investment of Rs 50 lakh in exchange for 1.25 percent equity.

The sharks had mixed reactions. Peyush Bansal (Lenskart) opted out, encouraging them to go ahead with Anupam Mittal (Shaadi.com), who has a strong interest in fitness-related products. Vineeta Singh (SUGAR Cosmetics) also stepped back, preferring to wait and observe. The founders then explained their product in detail, leading to a discussion about its effectiveness.

Anupam Mittal found the concept a bit complex, while Kunal Bahl (Snapdeal) raised concerns about the scrutiny the product might face after the episode aired. Vineeta Singh chose not to invest due to concerns about possible side effects. Meanwhile, Aman Gupta (boAt Lifestyle) appreciated the science behind the product and expressed his trust in Dr. Lalitha Palle. He made an initial offer of Rs 50 lakh for 2.5 percent equity.

Kunal Bahl, though unimpressed with the product’s packaging, liked the brand name and made a bigger offer of Rs 1 crore for 5 percent equity. The founders then negotiated for 3.3 percent equity and requested both Aman and Kunal to invest together.
After discussing their options, Kunal and Aman decided to invest as a team, but they insisted on maintaining their original 5 percent equity demand. The founders tried negotiating for 4 percent, but in the end, they accepted the Rs 1 crore investment for 5 percent equity.

This season of Shark Tank India has introduced a fresh panel of sharks, including Vineeta Singh (SUGAR Cosmetics), Anupam Mittal (Shaadi.com), Namita Thapar (Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Aman Gupta (boAt Lifestyle), Kunal Bahl (Snapdeal), Ritesh Agarwal (OYO), Peyush Bansal (Lenskart), and Viraj Bahl (Veeba). Their investments continue to fuel innovation, providing opportunities for entrepreneurs to take their businesses to the next level.

With more exciting pitches and thrilling negotiations ahead, Shark Tank India remains a must-watch for business enthusiasts and aspiring entrepreneurs across the country.
