Hridayapoorvam: Malavika Mohanan reacts to the 33-year age gap between her and Mohanlal; calls it childish

The first look at Hridayapoorvam has movie lovers excited since it brings together legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal and famous filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad for the first time in almost ten years.

However, the poster also sparked internet arguments, with many people pointing out the 33-year age difference between Mohanlal (65) and his co-star Malavika Mohanan (32).

Malavika has now spoken on the response as the movie gets ready for its Onam premiere. In an interview with Ginger Media Entertainments YouTube channel, she said people should wait until they see the story on screen.

Don't Judge Until You See the Movie

Malavika said that early criticism was unwarranted when she talked to Ginger Media Entertainments recently.

"I had answered one of those comments. It's not nice to say things about a movie without knowing the story or script. First, let the movie come out. If you think it's strange after seeing it, leave a comment. That's fair."

She said, "Everyone has the right to their own opinions, but it's not right to say things without knowing anything."

She made it clear that Hridayapoorvam is not a typical love story by explaining the plot of the movie. "At some point in their life, two people who don't know each other meet, and that's when the story starts. "It's not the kind of romance people think it is," she said.

Malavika's co-stars back her

Sangeeth Prathap, who became famous for his role in Premalu, agreed with her.

"The most important part of a movie is where it ends, not where it begins." You can't tell how good a project is by looking at its poster or summary. He added, "The director and writer's vision shapes the final experience."

About the Movie

This week, the trailer for Hridayapoorvam was out, giving us a look at the poignant drama. Mohanlal plays Sandeep, a man who has had a heart transplant and goes to Pune to meet the family of the person who gave him the heart. There, his route crosses with Malavika's character, which starts the story.

Aashirvad Cinemas is behind the movie, which stars Mohanlal, Malavika, Sangeeth, Lalu Alex, and Janardhanan. Sathyan Anthikad is in charge of directing Hridayapoorvam, which will have a big theatrical premiere on August 28, 2025.
