Chinese drama actress Zhao Lusi, who earned massive popularity with Netflix's hit series Hidden Love, recently made headlines after her photo on the wheelchair went viral on the internet.
However, the actress has recently left her fans stunned with the recent revelations. Zhao has revealed that she has been struggling with memory issues due to her medication, and this has forced her to reconsider her acting career, at least for the time being.
The actress has finally made a return to the screen with the first episode of her new reality show, Be Me, on March 27. The reality show revolves around her journey through her healing process.
In the premiere episode, child star Fu Bohan accompanied her and curiously asked, "What's it like after you take your medicine?" Zhao explained, "If you [3P] take medicine, then you wouldn't feel any pain, but you can't [3P] retain your memory.”
However, Fu then asked if this meant she couldn't act, to which Zhao confirmed, "Yeah, I can't retain memory." Fu added, "Then do not film dramas. Rest well for a while." Zhao’s recent statement left fans concerned and urged her to focus on her recovery.
For the unversed, Zhao Lusi made headlines in January after shedding a significant amount of weight, with alarming photos of her in a wheelchair circulating online.
This followed a shocking revelation in December that her management company had subjected her to physical and emotional abuse, reportedly causing her health to deteriorate rapidly.
