Govinda advised to consult a neurologist after being rushed to hospital, says manager

A day after visiting veteran actor Dharmendra in the hospital, Bollywood star Govinda was himself admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the noted actor complained of a severe headache, dizziness, and a sense of heaviness in his head, following which his family rushed him for medical attention.

The 62-year-old actor is undergoing tests at the hospital.

Govinda's legal advisor and friend Lalit Bansal told PTI: "He fainted in the evening and called me. I brought him CritiCare hospital. He is under observation and undergoing tests."

Now Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha has also told news agency IANS: “He had a severe headache and felt heaviness in his head. He also felt dizzy, and because of that, he has been advised to see a neurologist. Doctors are conducting a check-up. He was admitted last night, and the doctor will examine him soon.”

According to sources, doctors have recommended a detailed neurological evaluation.

The actor is currently under medical observation and undergoing routine tests. An official statement from Govinda or his family is awaited.

Meanwhile, several senior Bollywood actors have recently faced health-related concerns. Jeetendra was reportedly admitted to a Mumbai hospital after he suffered a fall during Zarine Khan’s prayer meet, though his son Tusshar Kapoor later confirmed that the veteran is “doing fine.”

Veteran actor Prem Chopra, 90, is also undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital for age-related ailments.

But there is also good news for the fans of veteran actor Dharmendra, he has been discharged from the hospital and is recuperating at home.

In an official statement, the Deol family shared, "Mr Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
