Falaq Naazz, a renowned TV actress known for Bigg Boss OTT 2, has made serious allegations against a producer, claiming that astrology is utilised during the casting process. The actress cautioned up-and-coming artists about a "new stage" in the industry on social media.
“Ab ek naya saavan shuru ho gaya hai, ab aapki janm kundali (birth chart) dekh kar aapko kaam milne wala hai,” Falaq stated. She further added, “Unke yaha ek bhot successful producer hain, aisa hota hai.”
(There is a new season now that casting for projects will be done based on your birth chart. There is a very successful producer who abides by that.)
Did Falaq Naazz throw shade at Ekta Kapoor?
A lot of social media users quickly speculated that she was referring to Ekta Kapoor, despite her not naming anyone specifically. Falaq Naazz mentioned in the video that prior to launching a show, the producer allegedly presents the actor's kundali, or birth chart, to a pandit.
The actress stated that she has never worked with the producer because she prefers not to engage in such endeavors. Falaq mentioned that she has worked in the industry for roughly 14 or 15 years and believes her acting skills, rather than her kundali, are the reason for her hiring.

A user subsequently posted Falaq’s video in a thread named "Ekta is currently casting actors based on Kundali... this woman annoys me at times.”
Numerous internet users speculated that Falaq was alluding to Ekta Kapoor, despite her not naming anyone. A user remarked, “Is this the reason Ekta extended a role to Tanya Mittal? Perhaps she possesses a powerful kundli since I truly dislike any acting she performs, even in commercials.

However, in her video, Falaq did not reference any names.
Falaq expressed her strong disapproval of the mentioned practice and challenged the idea of making judgments according to astrology. “Jodi milakar toh shadiyaan nahi hoti. Kya tum show sambhaloge? Are you for real?” she asked. The actress mentioned that she would never want to be linked to such actions, declaring, “I don’t want to be involved in whatever this is. I refuse to participate in this nonsense."
