Exclusive - Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Palak Sindhwani says makers emotionally blackmailed her, quits the show

TV actress Palak Sindhwani, who became popular as Sonu Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has quit the show.

The actress told Money Control that she had never breached any agreement and that she tried to resolve everything amicably but the makers emotionally blackmailed her.

In her statement, Palak said: "She expresses her deep disappointment over the false allegations and legal actions regarding her exit from "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah."

Her statement further read: "Palak denies all allegations, asserting that no breach of agreement occurred as the same is bad in law. Palak had communicated her intention to leave well in advance on 8th august, 2024 due to ongoing health and personal issues and even met with the producer to discuss this, expressing her willingness to serve a reasonable notice period."

"After several requests, she received her contract copy on 19th September 2024 for the first time as they said they don’t give contract copies 5 years ago, Despite her efforts to leave amicably, she has faced unfair treatment from the production team including emotional blackmail and threats of consequences for her decision."

Her statement read that Palak has been successfully working on various endorsements without any objection.

"Over the past five years and even before agreeing to do the show, Palak has successfully worked on various endorsements without any objection from the production house, it was only when Palak expressed her desire to exit, the producers created these false stories and narratives to harass her," she ended her note.

Additionally, Palak informed that the Producers have failed to settle her previous pending dues.

Palak told us that her last working day is 30th September, 2024.

Earlier this month, she has denied all the reports of quitting the show.

'It's a rumour, I haven't breached any contract. Shooting for Taarak tomorrow, 7am shift and not received any legal notice," she told Money Control in the first week of September.

Palak has been playing the role of Sonu Bhide for the past four years. She joined the show after Nidhi Bhanushali left it.
