South Korean boy band ENHYPEN has always had a strong fanbase in India, but leader Jungwon just gave desi fans another reason to cheer. During a casual live stream with fellow member Jay, the idol suddenly confessed his love for Indian sweets—specifically rasgulla and gulab jamun.

The chat, which started with the duo talking about everyday life and food, quickly turned into a sweet surprise. Jungwon described one dessert he couldn’t stop thinking about, calling it a “cheese ball made with milk.”

After some guessing, he confirmed it was none other than rasgulla. “I think it’s from India,” he said, before going on to explain the dish in detail. Moments later, he mentioned gulab jamun too, admitting that just the aroma of the syrupy delight was enough to tempt anyone.

What made the stream even more endearing was Jungwon attempting to share the recipe. From the sugar syrup to the dough, he recited steps like someone who had either read up on it or tasted it more than once. Jay, amused, kept nodding while fans in the chat lost their calm.

And of course, desi ENGENEs wasted no time celebrating online. One fan wrote in all caps, “MY TWO WORLDS COLLIDING, JUNGWON IS A GULAB JAMUN.” Another couldn’t believe their ears: “Did he really mention India or just the sweets? Either way, I’m screaming.” Suggestions also poured in, with fans urging him to try rasmalai next, while others swore by the combination of warm gulab jamun and vanilla ice cream.

This isn’t the first time K-pop idols have shown their fondness for Indian culture, but Jungwon’s sweet tooth has clearly hit a soft spot. Whether or not he actually gets to try rasmalai next, desi fans are already feeling like they’ve won.
