Elvish Yadav house attack: Two shooters linked to ‘Bhau Gang’ arrested for firing

The Delhi Police arrested two shooters linked to the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang, popularly known as the ‘Bhau gang,’ on Monday in connection with the firing at Elvish Yadav's home.

The duo, identified as Gaurav and Aditya, were nabbed from the Shahabad Dairy area following a swift police operation.

The arrests come after a series of developments in the case. Earlier, a bike-taxi rider named Jatin, 24, was apprehended from Faridabad’s Parvatiya Colony for allegedly planning and providing the motorcycle used in the attack.

Police sources revealed that Jatin had been ferrying passengers for an app-based service in Gurugram over the past two months. He confessed that, on the advice of companions, he made his bike available to execute the firing.

The incident itself had shaken the city. On August 17, three bike-borne attackers opened fire outside Elvish's Gurugram house in Sector 57, discharging over two dozen rounds.  Elvish Yadav was not home when the shooting occurred around 5:30 am.

The ‘Bhau gang’ later claimed responsibility for the attack, accusing the YouTuber of promoting a betting app, according to police sources quoted by PTI.

This arrest follows the earlier capture of a shooter, Ishant Gandhi alias Ishu, a resident of Faridabad, after a brief police encounter near Faridpur. With each arrest, authorities are piecing together the chain of events and the gang’s involvement, which appears to be organized and deliberate.

Law enforcement officials say these arrests highlight the ongoing vigilance and rapid action by Gurugram police in cracking down on gang-related crime. As the investigation continues, more details are expected to emerge regarding the planning and execution of the attack, as well as the potential involvement of other gang members.
