Sunny Deol's much-anticipated action drama Jaat hit theatres on April 10, 2025, and has been the talk of the town ever since. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film stars Deol in the titular role alongside Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Singh, and Regina Cassandra. Ahead of the film’s release, a special screening was held in Mumbai on April 8, which saw a star-studded turnout. Legendary actor Dharmendra, Randeep Hooda, and Urvashi Rautela were among the notable attendees.
However, a particular moment from the event has gone viral on social media — and not for the right reasons. A video surfaced showing Urvashi Rautela approaching Sunny Deol to greet him, only for him to seemingly ignore her while engaging with other guests. The clip quickly triggered a wave of reactions online. One user sarcastically remarked, “Urvashi ko aadat ho gayi hai getting ignored hone ki,” while another wrote, “Boht acha kiya, ye is laik hi hai.” Some questioned why she frequently gets sidelined at such events.
But before jumping to conclusions, it’s crucial to look at the complete picture — and another video does just that. A longer version of the footage reveals that Sunny Deol had indeed greeted Urvashi Rautela warmly before the viral clip begins. He is seen smiling, acknowledging her presence, and even shaking hands with her before moving on to interact with others. One user aptly pointed out, “Bhai pahle hath mila liya tha, uske baad edit kiya hai tumne,” indicating that the clip circulating on social media was misleading and edited to fuel unnecessary speculation.
This incident is yet another reminder of how easily moments can be taken out of context in the digital age. What appears to be a snub was, in reality, just a misrepresented edit of a normal interaction at a crowded event.

Meanwhile, Jaat has had a decent start at the box office, raking in approximately Rs 9.50 crore on its opening day in India. Though the numbers fall short of Salman Khan's Sikandar, which made Rs 26 crore on its debut, Jaat is still expected to perform well, especially with Sunny Deol’s strong fan base and positive initial reviews. With an IMDb rating of 7.9/10, the film tells the gripping tale of a fearless man who rises against injustice in a troubled village.
So, did Sunny Deol ignore Urvashi Rautela? The evidence says no.
