Bollywood actress Dia Mirza showed support to Rhea Chakraborty after the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) filed a closure report in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The agency notably gave Rhea and her family a clean chit, and now Dia Mirza has asked the media to apologise to her.
Dia Mirza took to her Instagram Story and reacted to the report. The actress wrote, “Who in the media will have the grace to put out a written apology to Rhea Chakraborty and her family?”
She continued, “You went on a witch hunt. You caused deep anguish and harassment just for TRPs. Apologise. That's the very least you can do.” Dia concluded her statement while mentioning @rhea chakraborty,” accompanied by a red rose emoji.
Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty faced brutal backlash and intense media scrutiny after Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide.
However, the CBI has recently filed two separate reports in the abetment to suicide case filed by Sushant father and the second one was the late actor’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, against his sisters, for giving him medicines based on fake prescription.
Despite the CBI’s closure report, the final judgement on the cases is still pending. The court will now have to decide whether to accept the report or order further investigation.
Rhea Chakraborty is yet to respond to the CBI report. Meanwhile, her brother, Showik Chakraborty, has recently shared a post writing, “Satyamev Jayate.”
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Rhea Chakraborty in connection with his death. She and her brother, Showik, were questioned for hours multiple times in this regard.
