Anime fever has officially taken over Indian theatres. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle is all set to release on September 13, 2025, and even before its first screening, the film is rewriting history.
Within just days of advance bookings opening on September 5, more than one lakh tickets have been sold, raking in over Rs 5 crore in pre-release revenue.
What’s even more remarkable is the response from multiplex chains.
To match the craze, theatres have added early morning shows, with screenings beginning as early as 5:15 am at Inox Megaplex in Pune and 5:20 am at Cinepolis Seawoods in Navi Mumbai.
This makes Infinity Castle the first Japanese anime film in India to screen at dawn, setting a new benchmark for fan demand. Cities like Bengaluru and Delhi have also jumped in, with 6:30 am and 6:40 am shows respectively, ensuring die-hard fans don’t have to wWhen Asha Bhosle eloped with Lata Mangeshkar’s secretary at the age of 16, faced domestic violence, struggled to marry R D Burmanait a minute longer than necessary.
The film adapts the explosive Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotouge’s bestselling manga.
Packed with high-stakes battles and emotional turns, the arc is one of the most anticipated in the franchise. Infinity Castle is planned as a trilogy, with Part One premiering in Japan back in July and now rolling out globally. Given the success of earlier titles like Mugen Train, which became one of the highest-grossing anime films of all time, expectations for this arc are sky-high.
