Hollywood actress Demi Moore won almost all big awards for Best Actress, including Golden Globes this year but lost out to Mikey Madison at the Oscars in March this year. Many fans were both disappointed and shocked with Demi's loss but the 62-year-old actress said she knew that Mikey would bag the coveted golden statue.

Demi and Mikey were nominated for their roles in the movies 'The Substance' and 'Anora,' respectively for this year's Academy Awards held in March.

Demi Moore, who has been in the industry for over 40 years, told Time Magazine that she wasn't upset about losing the Oscars and had predicted Mikey's win.

Demi told the magazine that she wasn't saddened when Mikey's name was announced as the winner of the Best Actress award.

"I leaned over and whispered to my boss, 'I think it's going to Mikey. I'm not sure why I knew, but I did. I felt so centered and quiet. I didn't feel devastated. I didn't feel anything like that. I just trusted, and I continue to trust, whatever happens," she said.

Demi, 62, had won almost all the awards this season—including the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and SAG Awards—for her role in The Substance.

Demi even congratulated Mikey for her big win. "As the awards season comes to an end, I'm filled with gratitude for this experience. It's been the ride of a lifetime, and we're only getting started! I am grateful for my staff, fellow candidates, and everyone who has made this journey joyful and lighthearted. And a big congrats to Mikey Madison; I can't wait to watch what you accomplish next."

Demi was nominated for her work in the horror film The Substance, in which she plays an elderly actor who undergoes injections to turn into a younger version of herself.

"There is a really interesting aspect to redefining how we see women in their 60s—what that really means and the limitations that have been imposed upon us societally, but even more importantly, what we've imposed on ourselves," she added.

Demi Moore features in the 100 Most Influential People of 2025 by Time Magazine.
