Dacoit is slowly building excitement, and its upcoming song TouchBuddy looks like the perfect way to set the tone.
Set to release on 28 March 2026, the track is already creating buzz for bringing together an interesting mix of talent—Pawan Singh, Jonita Gandhi and Adivi Sesh.
It’s not a combination you see every day, which is exactly why it feels fresh. With Pawan Singh’s mass appeal, Jonita Gandhi’s smooth vocals and Adivi Sesh’s on-screen energy, the song promises to be lively, catchy and made for a wide audience.
At its core, TouchBuddy seems to reflect what Dacoit is aiming to be—a crossover entertainer that blends different styles and reaches across regions.
The film itself marks the directorial debut of Shaneil Deo, and there’s already a sense of scale attached to it. Backed by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang and presented by Annapurna Studios, Dacoit is clearly being positioned as a big, pan-India project. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, it’s designed to connect with audiences across the country.
Beyond the music and scale, what’s really catching attention is the chemistry between Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur. Their pairing has already struck a chord, even before the trailer has dropped.
Talking about working together, Adivi Sesh shared, “I think it was a beautiful surprise to have somebody so down to earth, literally sometimes because we had so many conversations with the both of us sitting on the ground. She looked out for me, she looked out for my performance, I looked out for. She looked out for me in Hindi, I looked out for her in Telugu.”
He further added, “There was a beautiful understanding of what these characters were, simply because we din approach them with egos, both of us came to sets early to kind of understand and discuss the role, so in that sense we became characters we love and by extension it became two actors who love each other on-screen and the chemistry flowing beautifully because we were so in love with our own respective characters.”
The story of Dacoit leans into intensity, following a man who is wrongfully convicted and later sets out on a path of revenge. It blends action with emotion, bringing together themes of love, betrayal and redemption, all set against a gritty, neo-western backdrop.

Alongside Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, the film also features Anurag Kashyap in a key antagonist role, with Prakash Raj, Sunil and others adding depth to the cast.
With its theatrical release set for 10 April 2026, Dacoit is steadily building momentum—and TouchBuddy feels like the first real glimpse into its energy.
