CID Season 2 has been generating significant buzz since its much-anticipated comeback. Premiering on December 21, 2024, the show has kept viewers hooked with major plot twists, including the shocking death and unexpected return of ACP Pradyuman. Now, according to the latest promo, the upcoming episodes are set to introduce yet another dramatic twist, leaving fans eager to see what unfolds next.

In the promo video, team members including Daya, Abhijeet, Poorvi, and others are seen in a heated argument, pointing fingers at one another over what appears to be a serious blunder. The narrator in the background can be heard saying, "Humare beech mein koi gaddar hai (there is a liar among us."

In the same promo clip, Daya and Abhijeet are seen discussing the possibility of ending their friendship, hinting at rising tensions within the team. While the exact storyline remains under wraps, it appears that a major misunderstanding is set to create a rift among the CID officers.

In a recent development on CID Season 2, actor Parth Samthaan, who had recently joined the show as ACP Ayushmaan, has confirmed his exit in an interview with Pinkvilla. Parth revealed that he will be stepping away from the series following the return of Shivaji Satam as the iconic ACP Pradyuman.

He explained that while his role was initially meant to be a guest appearance, it was extended for a couple of months. The announcement of his departure comes just a month after his entry into the show. Parth shared that due to prior professional commitments, he will not be able to continue with the series for much longer.

During conversation with Pinkvilla, Parth said, “It’s been an absolute pleasure to be a part of a cult show like CID, even if it’s just for a brief period. I was on board for a few episodes only, a guest appearance, but later got extended for a couple of months." He further added, “Initially, we couldn’t give any confirmation on the same as it would have spoiled the excitement of the show. And now with Shivaji Sir’s return, that thrilling twist about the mole will be unfolded very soon."

CID features the actors Dayanand Shetty, Narendra Gupta, Aditya Srivastava, and more in the leading roles. The show is currently streaming on SonyLIV and Netflix.
