CID NEW PROMO

The iconic crime show CID has returned to the limelight with its latest promo, teasing intense drama and internal conflicts following a major shake-up in its cast. After the departure of beloved ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam, the makers introduced a new lead, Parth Samthaan, stepping into the shoes of ACP Ayushmaan.

While fans continue to express their longing for Pradyuman’s return, the new promo has stirred fresh excitement with ego clashes erupting between the new ACP and the veteran officers, Daya and Abhijeet.

Released on the official Instagram handle of Sony Entertainment Television, the promo showcases a gripping confrontation. Parth Samthaan’s ACP Ayushmaan brings a sharp, no-nonsense energy to the team, firmly stating, “Mujhe sirf results chahiye, drama nahi” (I only care about results, not drama). His rigid focus on procedure doesn’t sit well with Daya and Abhijeet, who are known for their field instincts and old-school methods.

In a key moment, Daya confidently declares that a breakthrough is on the horizon: “Barbosa is as good as dead.”

The line triggers visible tension, prompting ACP Ayushmaan to respond curtly, “Yeh kaam humara kanoon hai, gangster banne ka nahi” (Our job is to uphold the law, not become gangsters). His emphasis on legal justice over vigilante actions hints at a layered character driven by principle, even if it rubs others the wrong way.

Abhijeet’s reaction, laden with quiet defiance, suggests this clash of ideologies will become a central conflict in the upcoming episodes. The promo ends on a note of suspense, leaving viewers curious about how this power struggle will unfold.

The fan reactions were instant and overwhelmingly supportive of Parth’s debut as ACP Ayushmaan. One fan commented, “Parth, your personality and demeanour as ACP Ayushmaan… this is just sensational.” Another wrote, “Welcome ACP Ayushmaan. You will also make a memorable place like our iconic trio and Pankaj-Purvi.”

Fans also pointed out the mysterious aura surrounding Parth’s character. “The new ACP is all adding a grey-ish layer to the storyline. Absolutely a treat to watch Parth nailing his part!” one user wrote. Another added, “Parth achha lag raha hai as ACP... and I’m damn sure wo last mein sabko apna bana lega.”

Meanwhile, as fans continue to admire Parth’s intense portrayal, many still hold out hope for the return of Shivaji Satam. A recent report from TellyChakkar suggests that the makers are indeed planning a grand comeback for ACP Pradyuman. If true, viewers could soon witness the merging of past and present, setting the stage for a thrilling new chapter in the legendary show’s legacy.
