BTS star Jungkook’s residence was targeted for the second time this year when a woman in her 40s was arrested Saturday night for allegedly attempting to enter his home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The incident has reignited concerns over the safety of the K-pop idol, who recently shared a rare glimpse of his home with fans.

According to reports from MBN, the suspect, identified as Ms. A, reportedly followed a vehicle into the building’s underground parking lot around 11:20 p.m. A security guard, while monitoring CCTV footage, noticed her suspicious behavior and immediately alerted the authorities. Upon police questioning, Ms. A gave unclear explanations, reportedly claiming, “I went in because it was a friend’s house.” Authorities are continuing to investigate her motives and the circumstances surrounding the intrusion.

The incident occurred just a day after Jungkook conducted a surprise Weverse live broadcast, offering fans an impromptu tour of his home. The live session also featured fellow BTS member V (Kim Taehyung), whose playful interaction with Jungkook delighted viewers and provided a rare, personal glimpse into the idols’ private lives.

This is not the first time Jungkook’s home has been targeted. Earlier this year, a Chinese woman in her 30s attempted to enter his residence by trying to guess the apartment’s lock code. She had reportedly traveled to Seoul specifically to see him following his military service. She was apprehended by authorities but later released without detention on June 27.

Jungkook is currently preparing for BTS’ full-group comeback album, expected to release in spring 2026, around March to May. During a recent surprise 30-minute Weverse live, all seven members—Jungkook, V, Jimin, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, and RM—appeared together for the first time since September 2022, delighting fans with updates on the album and their activities.

The repeated intrusion attempts underscore ongoing concerns regarding the safety and privacy of K-pop idols. Authorities are reportedly tightening security measures at Jungkook’s residence, emphasizing vigilance to prevent further incidents. Fans worldwide continue to express their support for Jungkook, hoping for stronger security and peace of mind for the artist.
