BTS' j-Hope begins 100-Day countdown to military discharge; Jin teases him in a new post

j-Hope of BTS is set to be the next member discharged from the military, and the excitement is palpable among fans. The K-pop idol recently took to Instagram to mark the 100-day countdown to his military discharge, which is scheduled for October 17, 2024.

In his Instagram story posted on July 9, 2024, j-Hope began the countdown to his highly anticipated return. This milestone is a significant moment for BTS and their fans, as another member of the globally beloved boy band will soon complete his mandatory service and return to civilian life.

Shortly after j-Hope's Instagram post, fellow BTS member Jin, who was recently discharged from the military, joined in the fun on Weverse, HYBE’s online platform for fan and artist interactions. Jin humorously responded to j-Hope's countdown, saying, "Hey, Hoba, you said there are 100 days left, so now one day will feel like 48 hours."

Jin's playful message follows a recent Weverse post where he advised j-Hope to work hard upon his return, reflecting the camaraderie and supportive bond among BTS members.

j-Hope, whose real name is Jung Hoseok, enlisted in the military on April 18, 2023, serving as an active duty soldier. Despite his enlistment, j-Hope has continued to stay connected with fans and work on his music. He made a solo comeback with his album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1 on March 29, 2024. The album's lead track, NEURON, features collaborations with artists Gaeko and Yoon Mirae.
