The trailer premiere of Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero became a powerful moment of national pride, as the red carpet was rolled out in the heart of Kashmir, with brave BSF Jawans in attendance to witness the screening of the film.
Joining the special occasion were the film’s lead actors Emraan Hashmi and Sai Tamhankar, along with director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar. Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar were also present, accompanied by their respective spouses, Dolly Sidhwani and Shibani Dandekar. Co-producer Arhan Bagati and several other key members of the film’s team were also in attendance, making it a grand and memorable evening.
Since the project's captivating trailer and powerful posters were released, interest in it has been gradually growing. As the first movie to be released in the valley in almost forty years, Ground Zero is about to make history with its grand premiere in Srinagar.
In the film, Emraan Hashmi steps into the uniform of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey — marking the actor’s first role as a military officer. Sai Tamhankar plays his wife, adding an emotional layer to the narrative. Director Tejas Deoskar is now under the spotlight for how he brings this powerful and poignant story to life.
Speaking to ANI, Hashmi shared insights into the film’s significance: “This is the first time a film has been made solely to honour the BSF,” he said. “We have seen stories based on the Indian Army and police before, but Ground Zero is a tribute to BSF officers, their courage, and the sacrifices they have made for the country. That, in itself, is a significant milestone.”
He added, “It’s a mission that played a crucial role in safeguarding the nation. The story deserves to be told, and more importantly, it deserves to be seen.”
Ground Zero, produced by Excel Entertainment in collaboration with Talisman Films and several co-producers, is scheduled to release in cinemas on 25 April 2025.
