Sidharth Malhotra talks about fatherhood

These days, Sidharth Malhotra is finding a new kind of happiness that comes from something much gentler: fatherhood, rather than from applause, big openings, or blockbuster scripts.

The actor, who welcomed his first child earlier this year, has talked candidly about how this new phase has subtly changed him from the inside out.

The Shershaah actor acknowledged at a recent event that having a child has changed his priorities in unexpected ways. His life's once-fast-paced rhythm has slowed, allowing for new responsibilities, small routines, and moments that are more meaningful than anything his career has provided thus far.

“I am no longer the hero of the house, she is the superstar (his daughter Saraayah). My wife is the superhero,” Sidharth said, with a smile that carried more love than pride. It’s a simple line, but it captures how completely his world now revolves around two people — Kiara and their little girl.

Sidharth also shared how profoundly Kiara’s pregnancy affected him. Watching her go through nine months of change, discomfort and courage left him humbled.

“The process of seeing her through pregnancy was an eye-opening experience for me.”

He admitted that fatherhood has taught him a different understanding of strength — one that isn’t loud or showy.

“Men always talk about courage and strength, but women actually demonstrate it when they become mothers. And now she’s being a true superhero by taking care of Saraayah. I am contributing a little bit with changing diapers and clicking pictures. I am improvising in the role as much as I can.”

Nearly six months after their daughter’s birth, Sidharth and Kiara finally shared her name in a touching post.  “From our prayers, to our arms our divine blessing, our princess, Saraayah Malhotra.”

Sidharth says fatherhood has brought clarity, grounding him in the quiet, everyday moments that fame never could.
