Sarabhai vs Sarabhai producer JD Majethia heartbroken at the demise of Satish Shah

The Indian entertainment world is mourning the loss of veteran actor Satish Shah, beloved for his comic genius in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, who passed away on October 25 due to kidney complications. Producer JD Majethia, a close friend, expressed his heartbreak on social media while hinting that plans for another season of the iconic sitcom are still being considered.

The Indian entertainment industry is in mourning as veteran actor Satish Shah, renowned for his comic brilliance in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, passed away on October 25 due to kidney-related issues.

JD Majethia, producer of the sitcom and close friend of Satish Shah, expressed his grief on social media. He wrote, "My heart breaks to say this Satish Shah is no more." He further stated that the family will reveal details of cremation by night.

Recently after the team of Sarabhai vs Sarabhi reunited for a casual meeting, JD Majethia told ETimes that another season of the sitcom may be in the works in future. “I agree with fans. Ek aur season banna hi chahiye. We will make all the efforts. Everybody is ready to extend their efforts. Some more time is needed. People will have to wait a little bit. What the entire nation wants, we have to fulfill their wishes. We will put in extraordinary efforts. The thought process is on. We are figuring out how to manage. All the actors are busy. So we are figuring that out. Everybody is ready to extend their support,” he had said.

Satish Shah’s career spanned more than five decades, during which he became a household name for his versatility and impeccable comic timing. From his breakthrough performance in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro to iconic roles in films like Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Main Hoon Na, and Om Shanti Om, Satish Shah left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. On television, his portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai remains legendary.

He was last seen on screen in Humshakals in 2014. Throughout his career, he won several accolades including three Indian Television Academy Awards for Sarabhai vs Sarabhai alone.

According to reports, Satish Shah was rushed to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, where he breathed his last. The family is expected to release details about the cremation later today.
