Deepika Padukone has recently sparked a heated online debate about whether or not modern Bollywood stars are asking for too much after her exit from Spirit and Kalki 2 following an 8-hour workday.

However, now her husband, Ranveer Singh, has sparked another discussion on social media with the reports suggesting that he has asked for three vanity vans.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a source has claimed that Ranveer Singh uses three vanity vans during shoots.

An insider close to the actor said, “Ranveer Singh requires three vanity vans when he’s on a shoot schedule. One for his personal use, one is a gym van, one is for his private chef.”

The report also claimed that the average maintenance cost of a van is approximately Rs 10-15 lakh, though it is still unknown if Ranveer’s entourage includes these vanity vans.

Ranveer’s vanity vans reports came just days after Deepika Padukone was fired from Kalki 2 for allegedly demanding a 25% pay increase for working an 8-hour shift.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Deepika's 25-person entourage was another problem. The reports suggested that the actress was also demanding five-star accommodations and payment for her team's meals during the shoot.

The producers tried to negotiate with the actress and requested her to reduce the team. However, the actress was firm with her demand.

Ranveer Singh’s upcoming project

Ranveer Singh is currently gearing up for his highly anticipated film, Dhurandhar. The film is said to be inspired by true events. The actor is reported to play the role of an undercover spy in the movie.

The star-studded saga is set in the gritty criminal vein of underworld with a backdrop of Indian patriotism, featuring action sequences, Shakespearean betrayals, and tradecrafts of espionage.

Written and directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is set to hit the theatres on December 5, 2025.
