Four gunshots were fired at Rohit Shetty's Juhu home, Shetty Tower, early on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's group has now claimed responsibility for the  firing incident outside the filmmaker's Juhu home in Mumbai.

For the unversed, two attackers on motorcycles shot several bullets at the Shetty Tower before escaping. The attack did not result in any injuries.

The Bishnoi gang has warned the industry and filmmakers not to meddle in their activities.

Just a few hours after the firing incident, a post went viral on social media with Lawrence Bishnoi's gang members, Shubham Lonkar and Aarzoo Bishnoi, taking the responsibility.

The post, written in Hindi, seems like a direct and violent warning.

In the statement, Lawrence Bishno's gang member said, "Ram Ram, Jai Bajrang Bali to all brothers. Today, we, Shubham Lonkar, Aarzoo Bishnoi, Hari Boxer, and Harman Shandu, take responsibility for the firing at film director Rohit Shetty’s home in Mumbai. We messaged him many times not to interfere in our work, but he did not understand."

The gang member continued, "This is just a small trailer. If he doesn't listen, the next bullets won't be outside the house—they will be inside his bedroom, in his chest. This is a warning to the entire Bollywood industry: mend your ways, or your condition will be worse than Baba Siddique’s."

The post concluded, "To those we have called—fall in line or you will run out of places to hide. And to our enemies, be ready; wait and watch. (NOTE: There was only one, there is only one, and there will only be one — Lawrence Bishnoi Group)."

The Mumbai Police and Crime Branch initiated a large manhunt in the city following the tweet. Additionally, a forensic team has been sent to the location to look for additional information. The police are also reviewing the CCTV footage of the regions.
