Singer Benny Dayal and his wife Catherine Thangam are beaming with joy as they prepare to welcome their first child. Known for delivering some of Bollywood’s most energetic and memorable tracks including Badtameez Dil, Lat Lag Gayee, Daaru Desi, and Ude Dil Befikre, Benny shared the news with fans through an adorable Instagram post.

Benny posted a series of candid pictures from Catherine’s pregnancy photoshoot. In the first snapshot, Catherine lovingly held sonography scans, while in another, Benny is seen tenderly cradling her baby bump. Sharing the post, Benny captioned it with pure emotion, “Our little light is on the way. Baby Dayal, our new ray of sunshine coming soon.”

Before becoming a sought-after playback singer, he worked in a BPO and later as a journalist. His big break came in 2006 when he met AR Rahman, who offered him a chance to sing harmonies. This moment turned into a career-defining opportunity. From then on, Benny lent his versatile voice to numerous Bollywood chartbusters, carving a special place for himself in the Indian music industry.

Catherine, a lifestyle content creator, actress, and model, has featured in several magazine shoots and brand campaigns. The couple, who met through mutual friends in Chennai, tied the knot in June 2016.
