Amitabh Bachchan has shared a deeply introspective post on his personal blog, where he reflected on the impermanence of life, people, and time.
In the blog post, Big B observed how the world constantly evolves — from human behaviour to cultural norms. “Times change the World changes .. attitudes, habits change, culture changes .. people change .. they that were then, are not now .. and soon they that are ‘now’ shall in time be in reference of the ‘then’ (sic),” he wrote.
Amitabh Bachchan’s musings underscored how every generation lives through cycles of transformation, where what feels permanent today eventually becomes part of history.
The actor further elaborated on the importance of not being held captive by nostalgia. According to him, clinging too tightly to the past drains emotional energy and prevents one from living fully in the present. Instead, he urged his followers to remember and cherish the past without allowing it to overshadow the present moment.
In his post, Big B also paid tribute to his father, the legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He drew parallels between his father’s timeless poetry and the relevance of artistic wisdom. "Tumne humein pooj pooj kar patthar kar daala, woh jo humpar jumle kaste hain, humein zinda toh samajhte hain," he quoted lines from the poetry.
"after so many many years of its writing , it still reverberates and has meaning .. that be the vision and depth of the Poet and his Poetry .. the old , say the old , listen to the new .. the new say the new , listen to the old ..," he further explained the meaning of few lines of the poetry.
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for his next release, Section 84, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and co-starring Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee. He is also set to reprise his role as Ashvatthama in Kalki 2, Nag Ashwin’s ambitious sci-fi epic.
