Popular K-pop girl band BLACKPINK has won big at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. The four-member girl band, featuring Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, clinched an award for Best Group at the MTV VMAs.
BLACKPINK was up against some of the prominent bands like aespa, Backstreet Boys, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Jonas Brothers, KATSEYE, SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids, among others.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK members Lisa and Rosé also won awards at the MTV VMAs 2025. Lisa earned a VMA in the Best K-Pop category for her single Born Again featuring Doja Cat and RAYE.
Although the K-pop singer didn’t attend the award ceremony in person, she did record a winner’s speech that aired during the VMAs pre-show.
In the acceptance speech, Lisa said, “I’m so honored to be receiving this award. I want to thank MTV and VMAs for all the love and support. Thank you to Doja Cat and RAYE for making ‘Born Again’ such a special song, and to [my] RCA Family and Team LLOUD, thank you for helping me to get to where I am today. And lastly, to Lilies and Blinks, I couldn’t have done it without you guys, so thank you and I love you.’”

Lisa’s latest win for Best K-Pop marks her third win in the category in four years.
With her BLACKPINK bandmates supporting her, Lisa accepted the 2022 Best K-Pop award in person after making her K-pop solo debut in 2021 with the hip-hop single Lalisa. Lisa won the Best K-Pop award for Rockstar, the lead single from her debut full-length album Alter Ego, in addition to attending and performing at the 2024 ceremony.
Meanwhile, Rosé won Song of the Year for her song APT. featuring Bruno Mars.
