BLACKPINK member Jennie has recently dropped her debut album, Ruby. However, one song from the album has sent the fans into frenzy. The K-Pop singer’s latest album featured 14 tracks and collaborations from some of the prominent Hollywood singers and rappers.
The collabs also featured guest appearances from Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis, and FKJ. Additionally, Dua Lipa appeared on the song Handlebars. Dua and Jennie promoted their collaboration on their social media handle. The singers shared their photos on Instagram and wrote, “DUA ME HANDLEBARS.”
Meanwhile, in a separate social media post, Jennie expressed her excitement for her first solo album. She shared a series of behind-the-scene photos and wrote, “RUBY. is out now all around the world. just finished my first ever solo show and too overwhelmed. will come back with more to share soon.”
The K-pop singer added, “Thank you to everyone who made this album possible and to my fans out there. you are my world. thank you for listening to my baby. Love you all -J.”
Jennie's new album came amid the plagiarism accusations from Bollywood fans, who claim the K-pop singer allegedly copied tunes and beats from Alia Bhatt's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani theme song for her track Like Jennie.
The allegations sparked a social media debate, with some fans defending Jennie and others calling for proper credit to be given to Pritam, the composer behind Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
