BTS denies making music for Micheal Jackson tribute

Recent speculation surrounding BTS’s alleged involvement in a Michael Jackson tribute album has been firmly addressed by BigHit Music.

The entertainment agency released an official statement on 5 August, clarifying that the globally acclaimed K-pop group has no connection with the reported project honouring the late King of Pop.

The rumours began circulating after The Irish Sun published a piece on 3 August, claiming that BTS had visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland to record a previously unreleased Michael Jackson track.

The article further stated that Jackson had penned several unreleased songs during a family retreat to Ireland in the summer of 2006, many of which were reportedly recorded at the Grouse Lodge facility. The studio had allegedly confirmed that BTS, along with other international artists, had contributed to the tribute album being created from those unreleased works.

However, BigHit Music quickly stepped in to set the record straight. In their official statement, the agency said:
“Hello! This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We would like to address recent media reports concerning BTS' alleged participation in a Michael Jackson tribute album. BTS has neither visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland nor taken part in any recording sessions at the location for the mentioned project. The group is not involved in the tribute album in any capacity.”

Reinforcing their position, BigHit added, “We are continuing to take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of inaccurate information. We express our sincere gratitude to fans for continuously showing support for BTS. We remain fully committed to supporting the artists and their endeavours.”

Currently, BTS members are focused on their highly anticipated reunion. With all members having either completed or actively serving their mandatory military duties, the group is reportedly working on a comeback album, expected to be released by the summer of 2026. Fans worldwide eagerly await their return to the global stage.
