Faridabad Crime Branch has arrested an accused named Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi in an encounter, who allegedly fired outside the residence of Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram on August 17.

The accused was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg.

Gangsters Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritolia, who are purportedly connected to the Himanshu Bhau gang, have previously taken the responsibility for the gunfire outside Elvish’s Gurgaon home.
They alleged in a social media post that Elvish had been targeted for promoting a betting app, which they accused of “destroying many households.”

Elvish, who stays on the upper floors, was not at home during the attack. The attack reportedly left his family shaken. CCTV footage captured the incident, with three armed individuals involved, two of whom were clearly visible.

The police reports revealed that the bullets struck the ground and the first floors of the building.

The police team immediately reached the location and collected forensic samples. They also scanned the CCTV footage from the area.

“Three masked miscreants opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s Sector 57. More than a dozen rounds were fired. Yadav was not present at the time,” said Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police, according to News18.

Following the attack, Elvish Yadav took to his Instagram Stories and issued a statement. He reassured his fans and expressed his heartfelt thanks for their support.

He wrote, “I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your good wishes. My family and I are safe and well. Your kind thoughts and concern are truly appreciated. Thank you.”
