Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s residence in Gurgaon came under attack on Sunday night when unidentified assailants opened fire.
According to reports, between 25 and 30 rounds were shot at the property. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and Elvish’s family members, who were inside at the time, escaped unharmed.
On Monday afternoon Elvish Yadav took to his Instagram Stories to reassure fans and express his heartfelt thanks for their support.
“I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your good wishes. My family and I are safe and well. Your kind thoughts and concern are truly appreciated. Thank you.” He wrote.
In a significant development, two men, Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritolia — reportedly linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang — publicly claimed responsibility for the attack. Through a social media post, the pair alleged that Yadav had been targeted for promoting a betting app, which they accused of “destroying many households.”
The gunfire erupted while Elvish himself was away from the house. CCTV footage captured the incident, with three armed individuals involved, two of whom were clearly visible. Speaking to PTI, Elvish’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, confirmed the findings and praised the authorities’ response:
“In the CCTV footage, three miscreants can be seen, out of which two are clearly visible. The police administration is doing its job well.”
The attack has sparked widespread concern among fans and the digital creator community. While Elvish Yadav has faced controversies in the past, including allegations linked to rave parties and public spats with fellow influencers, this incident marks one of the most serious threats to his safety to date.
