At the Golden Globes 2023, RRR was nominated in two major categories: Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language and Best Original Song – Motion Picture. The nomination in the Best Original Song category was for the electrifying track Naatu Naatu, composed by MM Keeravani, which became a global sensation.

The highlight of the night was when Naatu Naatu won the award for Best Original Song – Motion Picture, making history as one of the few Indian songs to achieve such a distinction. After receiving the award, an emotional MM Keeravani said, "Thank you very much for this prestigious award. I am just very overwhelmed and I am very happy to share this moment with my wife who is sitting right there. It has been a practice to say that this award belongs to someone else and not me, but I am going to break that." In his speech, the composer also thanked Junior NTR and Ram Charan who danced to this song.
