The much-awaited trailer of BAIDA, Sudhanshu Rai’s upcoming sci-fi thriller, has finally been unveiled.
Touted as IMDb’s most anticipated Indian film, the trailer launch took place at a PVR in Noida, with director Puneet Sharma and lead actors Sudhanshu Rai and Shobhit Sujay in attendance. Since its release on YouTube, the trailer has created a buzz, leaving audiences eager for the film’s grand pan-India theatrical debut on March 21.
The trailer of BAIDA unveils a haunting world where a sinister force, known as ‘Pishaach,’ has transcended mortal boundaries, bringing an ominous presence that signifies certain doom. At the heart of this eerie battle is a former spy, the lead protagonist, who finds himself ensnared in a deadly cycle and vows to break free from its grasp.
The glimpses hint at a gripping fusion of spiritual mysticism and scientific energies, setting the stage for a high-stakes confrontation between the hunted and the demonic.
Addressing the gathering at the trailer launch event, Sudhanshu said, “BAIDA is a film where the plot and the story rules the roost. The world of BAIDA has an intriguing, mysterious environment and distinct characters that will leave an imprint on your mind. The turbulent expedition of Rambabu through the unknown will be a cinematic journey never undertaken on the big screen before. To all my fans, the wait is soon to get over, aap sab ko Holi aur BAIDA ki shubhkamnaayein."
Fans and film enthusiasts have drawn parallels between BAIDA and globally acclaimed shows like Stranger Things and Dark, along with Indian cinematic masterpieces such as Tumbbad and Bramayugam.

The film is based on one of the most celebrated stories by India's beloved storyteller and actor, Sudhanshu Rai, while Puneet Sharma, known for his work in Chintaa Mani, takes the director’s seat to bring this supernatural sci-fi thriller to life.
BAIDA boasts a stellar ensemble cast, featuring Sudhanshu Rai, Shobhit Sujay, Manisha Rai, Hiten Tejwani, Tarun Khanna, Sourabh Raaj Jain, Akhlaq Ahmad (Azad), Deepak Wadhwa, Sidharth Banerjee, and Pradeep Kabra, among others. The film's editing is helmed by Pratheek Shetty, known for his work in Kantara and 777 Charlie, while the gripping music and background score are composed by Karthik Chennoji Rao and Ronada Bakkesh. Set for a nationwide release under Panorama Studios, BAIDA is all set to hit the big screens on March 21, 2025.
