Bollywood actor and director Anupam Kher is currently in France to attend the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of his upcoming film, Tanvi: The Great. The actor is sharing a series of photos and videos from the event on his social media.
Anupam Kher took to his Instagram and shared a video while documenting his trip.
He also introduced the two writers of the film, Ankur Suman and Abhishek Dixit. Anupam Kher revealed that Tanvi: The Great is his second directorial film that he is doing after 22 years of his directorial debut.
The actor revealed in the video that he wanted to collaborate with the writers, who are both modern and have traditional values.
The actor revealed that he has previously collaborated with Abhishek for the 2022 film Uunchai, which also features Boman Irani and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, the actor worked with Ankur on the 2021 film, Kaagaz, which also starred the late actor Satish Kaushik.
Abhishek and Ankur then recalled how they came up with the idea of the film. Ankur revealed that they drew the inspiration from a video which featured a young girl named Tanvi, and they had a conversation on the subject.
Anupam Kher revealed that the subject of the film is related to the real-life events. He also shared the tagline of the film, “Different but no less.” He explained, “Different but no less ka matlab hai ki har insaan different hota hai, par kam nahi hota koi bhi.”
He further noted that the theme of the film is universal, and that’s why the Cannes Film Festival was perfect for the premiere of the film.
The actor then gave a tour of Cannes to his followers in the video and proudly showed India’s flag. He then called the film festival “Creativity Ka Mahakumbh.”
Alongside the video, he wrote in the caption, “A wonderful conversation with all of you. We are in #Cannes for #TanviTheGreat! Jai Ho!”
