The endearing actor Amol Parashar, who is well-known for his subtle roles in web series, was recently the subject of relationship rumours with Konkona Sensharma, a filmmaker and actor who is respected for her strong on-screen persona.
After the two were spotted together at the premiere of Amol's most recent show, Gramme Chikitsalay, fans and tabloids began to speculate.
Now, Amol has broken his silence — not with a big reveal, but with the kind of honesty and humour fans love him for.
Speaking to ETimes, he said, “Today, I will choose not to answer. But don’t hate me if I change my mind in a week.”
“People made it official. It was not a statement of any kind,” he added, clarifying that the event was just a casual celebration with friends and family — not a red carpet relationship announcement.
That said, Amol didn’t shy away from talking about the pressures of being in the spotlight. He shared how, in showbiz, even relationships can become marketing tools. “Even if relationships don’t exist, they’ll make them up. PRs have suggested this to me before,” he revealed.
But for Amol, the focus remains on what he truly values: “I want people to talk about my work.”

He also touched on something many actors experience — the blurring lines between personal and public life. “You are reaching a point in your career where people are interested in your personal life. You can’t fight it,” he admitted. But there’s still a sense of caution in his voice when he says, “Maybe the fear is that the relationship will become part of my entire personality.”
On the work front, Amol Parashar was last seen in 'Gram Chikitsalay' and Konkana Sensharma latest big screen appearence was in Anurag basu's Metro In Dinoo, where she starred opposite Pankaj Tripathi.
