Amitabh Bachchan on his 'special' and 'poetic' time on Kaun Banega Crorepati: 'The traffic on the return journey makes the time saved as waived'

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan continues to host the iconic game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, for over two decades and has recently reflected on his time on the show. He shared a series of photos from his Sunday meeting with his fans and penned a gratitude note.

He also shared several photos from his recent appearance on KBC on his blog. Amitabh Bachchan penned in his blog in Hindi, “Sunday ko nahin dikha sake, so ab dikha rahe hain: ye sneh ye aapaka aadar sada smaraneey rahega (I could not show it on Sunday, so I am showing it now: This affection and respect of yours will always be remembered).”

The veteran actor reflected on his time on KBC and penned in the same blog, “and the everlasting affection from all those that come even in inclement weather is a boon that shall never be forgotten.. you are so I am... and the work schedules continue .. early calls and early starts and at times an early finish .. but the traffic on the return journey makes the time saved as waived ..”

The veteran actor further noted, “however the time spent on the floor of KBC was special .. almost a poetic symposium of recitations and the understanding of each verse , both from the contestant and the one that presses the black squares now..”

He added, “you are the ones that 'make the show' , is something that I repeat and live each day on the sets .. it is the truth .. I am so humbled by the affection and love .. may I continue to be worthy of such love ..”

For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan has been the Kaun Banega Crorepati since its inception in 2000. The latest season came after it was reported that the veteran actor had decided to step down from KBC after hosting the show for around two decades.

On the film front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Rajinikanth’s film Vettaiyan, which also starred Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Ritika Singh in the key roles. The veteran actor will next be seen in Ribhu Dasgupta’s Section 84, alongside Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur. The official updates on the upcoming film are awaited.
