Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan met for the first time at the set of the 1971 film Guddi, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Two years later, they tied the knot on June 3, 1973, and have been inseparable ever since.

The couple has two children, Shweta Bachchan, an author and entrepreneur, and Abhishek Bachchan, a talented actor. They are also proud grandparents to Agstya Nanda, Navya Nanda, and Aaradhya Bachchan.
