Ameesha Patel recently revealed that Sanjay Dutt, her close friend and co-star in films like Tathastu and Chatur Singh Two Star, has some strict rules when it comes to visiting his home. In a candid conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the Gadar actress opened up about how Dutt is incredibly protective and possessive, even dictating her attire when she visits him.

Ameesha recalled a memorable birthday celebration at Dutt’s Mumbai home, which she spent with Dutt, his wife Maanayata, and a few close friends. Reflecting on her experience, she shared, “He is very protective and possessive. So, when I go to his house, I’m not allowed to wear shorts, I’m not allowed to wear Western clothes. I have to be in a salwar kameez.” It’s clear that Dutt’s protective nature extends beyond just casual concern for her well-being, as he insists on specific clothing choices for her when she’s around.

But Dutt’s care for Ameesha doesn’t end with fashion rules. The actress also mentioned how Dutt has always taken a special interest in her personal life. According to Ameesha, Dutt is always on the lookout for someone suitable for her, even jokingly taking the responsibility of finding her a husband. She fondly recalled, “‘Sanju is one person who always says, ‘You’re too innocent to be in this film industry.’ Main teri shaadi karwaunga, main ladka dhoondunga, main kanyadaan karunga. (I will get you married. I will find a boy for you, and I will perform the wedding rituals),’” shared the actress. His protective attitude is not just about her professional life but also her personal happiness.

The bond between the two goes beyond the professional, as Dutt also makes sure to check in on Ameesha’s well-being. She continued, “He’s very protective and adores me, always looking out for my well-being. He’ll always ask me if I’m okay.” It’s clear from her words that Dutt is a constant source of care and concern in her life, playing the role of both a mentor and a close friend.

In 2022, Ameesha shared a picture from her private birthday celebration at Dutt’s home on social media, captioning it with gratitude for the “most golden-hearted man in the industry.” She expressed how special the celebration was, thanks to Dutt’s efforts, which shows just how much he values their friendship.
