Acclaimed actor Ali Fazal is preparing to tackle one of his most ambitious and transformative roles in the upcoming fantasy period drama series Rakht Brahmand.

Produced by the visionary duo Raj & DK and directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his brilliance in Tumbbad, this series promises to blend historical depth with fantasy elements, offering audiences an unforgettable cinematic experience.

The ensemble cast also features the talents of Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Wamiqa Gabbi, further raising expectations for this high-calibre production.

To bring his character to life, Ali has undergone an intense and immersive preparation process, dedicating 6-7 hours daily to rigorous training. His training includes weight lifting to build the necessary physique, diction coaching to master his character’s speech, and the study of ancient Indian martial arts to ensure his action sequences are as authentic and raw as possible.

Alongside the physical training, Ali has undergone a striking physical transformation, growing his hair for over a year to better embody the character. Rather than relying on wigs, he has chosen to use real hair to give his role an unparalleled level of realism.

Ali spoke about the experience, saying, "Signing Rakht Brahmand was an easy decision for me because it’s unlike anything I’ve done before. The depth, the scale, and the sheer vision of the project are incredible. But with a role of this magnitude comes great responsibility. I knew from day one that this would require intense physical and mental preparation. I have been spending nearly 6-7 hours a day training—whether it's weight training to build the right physique, diction classes to perfect my speech, or diving into old-school Indian martial arts to make my action sequences look as raw and authentic as possible. Growing my hair for over a year was just one part of the transformation; the real challenge has been pushing my body and mind beyond their limits. This process has been demanding, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. I can’t wait for audiences to witness the world we are creating with Rakht Brahmand."

Ali also reflected on the personal transformation required for the role, stating, “This role demanded something completely different from anything I’ve done before. Growing my hair for over a year was a conscious choice to fully immerse myself in the character’s world.

Currently filming is underway at various locations across Mumbai, with Ali fully immersed in bringing his character to life. With such a transformative role, Rakht Brahmand is poised to be a defining moment in Ali Fazal's career.
